the american space programm was miles behind the russians.Russia had the first space ship in space,the first living animal in space,and the first human in space.america could not get there rockets up in the sky without them exploding.so is it strange that they were the first to land on the moon all answers would be great open your mind

Having answered this question before, last week, I still think the landings were fabricated, with the Moonscape actually the area 51 forbidden place, was the scene for the shenanigans that happened in order to impress the Russians.
It definitely fooled all of the people all of the time.

I think that the Russians were smart enough to know that putting people on the moon was kind of a "fools errand".
It did wonders for U.S. national pride and there was no shortage of commercial opportunities that came as a result of the Apollo program. However, for the most part the moon is essentially a great big rock in space that takes a heck of a lot of resources to reach.

I believe the moon landing was real, not that i believe everything(or even most?) the US government claims. Doing some quick research the most entertaining I found was Penn & Tellers show "Bullshi#" did a focus on this very subject. P.S. To Lily - I've often wondered about seeing the remains of the landing on the moon but I've never seen anything about it...have you viewed this yourself...do you have coordinates?

How come if you don't believe the US landed on the moon, you do believe that the Russians did? You can see the remains of the moon landings and the equipment that was left up there with a good telescope. How did that stuff get there?

Great strides were made, especially after the 1967 disaster and the Russian just kind of lost steam.
I personally have no reason to doubt it, no matter what "Capricorn One" stated

I heard that one too, about how the american flag was fluttering, when it couldn't because there is no breeze on the moon, but seriously why care? there is no possible way of knowing the absolute truth, it could be a lie, it couldn't

if you play vice city, go to the movie studio in prawn island. one of the stages have the actually scenery that was used for the supposed moon landing.
