Why is he trying to press rape charges on you, if anything he can get arrested because you are underage. So it really doesnt make any sense. So no he can't do that! The cops would just laugh.

You are the one under age here. If anyone would be guilty of statutory rape, it would be your boyfriend because he is older, although the laws differ from state to state, and it is possible he would not be considered guilty either. Unless he did not consent to the intercourse, there is no possibility of a rape or sexual assault charge against you (except for the rare case where he could not give a valid consent, if, for example, he were mentally incapacitated). They cannot force you to give up your child for adoption or have an abortion, although your mother may have some say in whether you have an abortion depending on the state you live in. Custody when your child is born may be a different issue if your boyfriend chooses to contest it.

If your boyfriend is 18, and was 18 at the time of conception, his father has no legal standing. His son is considered an adult and is able to make his own decisions. If anyone had a legal right to press charges, it would be your folks since you are underage.
It sounds like his father may be trying to intervene so his son is not responsible for the child. Maybe he thinks he can get of child support this way. You may want to keep an eye on that and seek legal counsel in some way. I know there are legal aid programs in most areas that would be free for a consult. You should be aware of all of your rights and options for you and your child.

The jack a** is just trying to scare you. Depending on what state you live, your BF is the adult and you are underage. Depending on the age of consent in your state (usually 17-18) the "adult" would be charged with statutory rape. They do not need to prove that you consented to the sexual encounter, only that it took place. The dad is a freak. He has no grounds for his claims. The police will laugh in his face.

Let me make sure that I have this straight...your legally an adult boyfriend's dad wants to charge you, a minor, with rape? I don't think that will work. You are the minor, he's an adult. If anyone in in a position to try to file rape charges it would be your parents against your "adult" boyfriend. I think that you would have to be the one over 18 and him the minor for his dad to be successful. I don't think that whether or not your bf lives with his dad is a factor, but since your bf is 18 his dad doesn't have those kind of rights to file these kind of charges anymore.

No, your boyfriend could press rape charges against you if you *actually* raped him (yes, it's possible for a woman to rape a man...) Depending on the age-of-consent laws in your state, your parents could press rape charges against your boyfriend if your relationship meets the definition of statutory rape. However, your boyfriend is an adult and his father cannot press charges on his behalf for anything, let alone statutory rape. Your relationship certainly doesn't fit the description when applied to your boyfriend; he's over the age of consent anywhere.

You can not be charged. You are the one that is underage. Your boyfriend is at the age of consent. The only way someone over 18 is not at age of consent is if they have a mental disorder that makes it to where they can not make adult decisions. Talk it over with your parents because you do not need extra stress when you are pregnant and it seems this is worrying you.

You cannot be prosecuted for rape because you are not more than 2 year sold than him. Or at least thats how it is in Alabama. The person has to be at least 2 years old for them to be charged. Look for your state's legislature home page to see if you can search state laws or do a yahoo search for your state's law on statury rape. And only his custodial parent can press charges on behalf of a minor unless the parent is involved in the case.

No he cant do that. The only one that would be able to get charged with rape is your boyfriend. They can not take your baby away either. Try not to worry about any of that. The father is obviously not a nice person and just trying to scare you and your boyfriend.

No, he cannot. Since you are younger than he is and he is 18, you cannot be charged. If you didn't force him into it, it cannot be raped. But you can press charges against your bf for statutory rape (not sure hou to spell it) because he is 18 and you are not. Hope everything goes okay for you. Good luck!
