There's all sorts of types of Herpes Viruses.
Cold Sores happen to be one.
So is Chicken Pox.
You DO need to treat it,,even if you Must go to the store.
Products like Camphophenique work great and is cheap.
Vick's vapor rub is OK,,it works on cold sore and is cheap.
Old fashioned "Pine Oil" used for cleaning,,,like "Pine Sol" brand,,,is cheap.
And it kills cold sores,,,it can burn pretty bad sometimes though.
*** CAUTION,,that is NOT a "medicine",,OK?
It's sold as a Household Cleaning Product.
Do NOT,,,and I mean Do N-O-T even Think about substituting anything else that seems similar.
ONLY<
Those sores can SPREAD,,the stuff in them is sorta contagious.
Plus,,it's on your face,,You dont want scars,,or it spreading all over your mouth.
The Sooner you treat it,,the smaller it will stay till it goes way.
Not trying to scare you or worry you ,sweetie,,it's not "life threatening",,they're common & almost everybody gets them sometimes.
But they CAN get serious,,and can get infected badly.
You Really,Really need to take it serious.
If you dont have the $$,,or cannot get to a store,,,ask a neighbor if they have anything you can use/borrow,,whatever.
Blistex,,Carmex, are also cheap & common remedies.
You'll need to dab some on the sore several times a day,,for a few days till it's gone.
ANY cold sore medicine or remedy needs to used that way.
Several times a day,for several days.
DON'T pick at it like a pimple or something,,that'll make it spread.
And I know You dont wanna hear it,,but if it gets very bad,,,Go To a Doctor!
Most adults around where you live,,,should have something to help you.
Even your School Nurse.
I know it can be awkward & embarrasing to go ask for help,,,
but dont be Shy.
And most of all,,DONT WAIT,,,ya need to get some medicine on it as soon as You can.
A lot of teenage girls get cold sores,,and a lot of them have or carry around stuff to treat them.
So ask your friends,,or their parents.
YOU READ anything anyone offers You,,make sure it's for Cold Sores or Fever Blisters
