If you look at the spending side of the equation, Republicans over the last few administrations have consistently increased spending. Clinton consistently REDUCED spending and reduced deficits. Cutting taxes while increasing spending is hardly conservative.

As to open borders, both parties have pandered to the illegal immigration lobby, since both parties benefit from the political contributions of corporations which enjoy the lower labor costs and less regulation. Further, don't forget it was Bush who recently put the amnesty proposal on the table.

Bush and his boys haven't done a damn thing about illegal immigrants either. But the truth is, liberals are a dying breed because they lack ideas. Bad on ideas on the republicans side are better than none. Thankfully for them republicans have screwed up so bad that they have a shot, but if they cant win elections now they never will again on the large scale. Americans have figured out that liberals hate America and are only happy when bad things are happening. it's amazing to watch liberals rejoice in bush's failures, even though those failures are thousands of dead soldiers.

Your current 'lower' taxes are actually a huge loan from China (yep those godless commies) that future generations are going to have to pay back with interest.

The Government is at a record size, we have NEVER had such a huge federal government.

The borders are pourous and the President wants to make ILLEGAL immigrants legal.

Pork spending has increased FOUR FOLD since republicans took control of congress.

So where is the 'Sound Fiscal Policies' , the 'Smaller Government', the States Rights (except on gun control, abortion and gay marriage).
