Are you talking about the 7 pills that come in your case that are a different color than all the rest? If so they are sugar pills, you take them when you are on your period. They have no hormones and no effect on you whatsoever. You don't even have to take them if you don't want.

Does your pill mention anything about containing FE? That would mean the brown pills are iron tablets. Most BC pills use placebos but some use include iron in the placebos to help w/ the loss of blood.

The brown pills are Iron supplements(in some brands combined with folic acid).Not only it helps in increasing your hemoglobin level,it also ensures that you don't miss your pills after one packet is finished.The white tablets are hormonal one.They finish on 21st day.Brown tablets are for 7 days.As soon as the brown tablets are finished women are advised to start a new pack.

they are just reminder pills so you stay in the habit of taking them. You don't have to take them, they do nothing. You can even skip them and go right to the next pack and completely avoid getting your period for that week if your goin on vacation or have an event or something.

I think you're refering to the last week's worth of pills. They don't have any active ingredients in them usually, they're just so you remember to take a pill every day, rather than try to remember to start again on the first day of your period.

THEY ARE "SUGAR PILLS" OR REMINDER PILLS WHICHEVER YOU WANT TO CALL THEM. THEY ARE SUGAR THEY HAVE NO HORMONES. THEY ARE JUST FOR YOU TO TAKE SO YOU KEEP ON SCHEDULE..I NEVER TAKE MINE ITS JUST TO HELP SO YOU DONT GET OFF TRACK WHILE ON YOUR PERIOD
