normally, electricity and other fuels are bought....as if in the stock exchange...someone brokers the deals for the companies and then the purchases are made. this is why - for example - wind energy is cheaper - sometimes - than is coal energy. other times - that is not the case. so, for example, green mtn. energy is low sometimes and other times it is higher - supply. then, of course, there is demand. so with wind suppliers weather is a big deal...as is the number of companies buying their energy....demand for all fuels is usually - these days - pretty good. it is the supply that is an issue and why we are looking for alternative fuel sources.
