I do mine the "slow way".. takes longer but it does a g reat job. I use a very soft cloth (piece of my husband's old undervest) and a mixture of 2:1 ArmorAll./water I do each slat in turn. You get a lot more than just dust on the blind slats. There'll be deposits from the kitchen cooking that will always float through the air, and little spots from occasional "fly poop" This mixture gets it all, and when the water in the mix has evaporated, the ArmorAll will remain on the blind slats, that puts a slick sheen on them, as well as a coating that protects from sunlight. That little bit of a slick finish will help keep dust and other deposits from sticking so tight, so the next cleaning is easier. Since ArmorAll is already designed to provide protection against UV damage for the rubber, plastic or vinyl parts of your vehicle, it works equally well for windowblinds.

Pin two dust cloths to your breasts, and rub on the blinds. That's the bust way.

Now the BEST way is to wash them in the tub. Each slat and then rinse well, hang to dry.

I take mine down and soak them in the bathtub in hot water and OxiClean. If it is just dust on them, you can just hang on to the top of the blind and dip it in and out of the water to remove the dust. Then I drain the tub and fill it with hot water and rinse the blind before taking it outside to hang up to dry.

if they are just dusty then dust but if they are grimy...fill bathtub with hot water and liquid dishwasher detergent and stir to disolve and mix then put blinds in the tub...soak then use cloth or soft brush to help get loosened grim off then rinse and hang or rinse and hang outdoors to drip dry

I take them outside open all the way, lay them on the drive-way (put an old sheet under them so they don't get scratched) Use a bucket of spick-n-span & /warm water. Wash with a tire brush (has long soft bush). hang on the clothes line and hose them down!

They sell a cleaner just for that at Walmart.
It has multiple dusters on it an goes in between several blinds at a time.

.Take them down, take them outside and spray them with 409, let them soak for a little bit and spray them off with the water hose. you can also do the same thing in the shower. If you don't want to take them down, just use a swiffer duster, they make the ones with the extentions on them...to reach high or low palces you can't get to.

You can keep them clean and dusted in between washing with a fabric dryer sheet!

I take mine off and put bleach and water in the bath tub and let them soak and then go spray them off with a hose and let them dry. That's if they're white or alabaster.
