New money and a poor education. Old money never behaves this way. I am acquainted with a rather wealthy Eton chap who is too far in the other direction. He dresses in clothes that a charity shop would reject and drives a vehicle that you would expect to display a 'Police Aware' sticker. Only by visiting his home do you have an idea of his wealth.

It's rather annoying! My mother had to attend a work even and I went with her as her "date" since my dad couldn't go. We ended up sitting with some of the VPs of the company and one kept talking about this huge house he was having built. Which happen to be in the same neighborhood as some Panther football players. Course can't forget the boat, the cars, and the nice trips. Then after his bragging, he kindly, asked my mom about the new house she was buying. Which probably could fit inside his bedroom I'm sure.

I think they have low self esteem and must brag about their material possessions to feel better about themselves. It's sad really. But completely irritating at the same time.

They're insecure. Truly wealthy people don't do that - no need. Anyway, anyone (rich or poor) who is secure in who they are would never brag about anything.

its not a good thing, because as easy or as hard as you got it ,the same instant it can be taken away, money is not everything, but the old mighty dollar makes a lot of people change and that is probably why some people aren't meant to have riches, because they make that change
