Hopefully this isn't your first year of college.
Time management is probably the biggest struggle for college students. There's a lot to juggle and often times you may end up devoting more time to certain parts of your life while neglecting other parts.
My freshman year of college, we were required to fill out a schedule that block out our busy times - but the trick is to stick with the schedule! I've put (a really rough draft) of the schedule below. Just do one for your entire day and see where your free time is. Then factor in (reasonable!) study time and the rest of the time is for whatever.
Color codes:
Work (red)
Class (blue)
Free time (green)
8 am Class (red)
9 am Class (red)
10 am Class (red)
11am Class (red)
noon Work (blue)
1 pm Work (blue)
2 pm Free time (green)
3 pm Free time (green)
etc.
etc....

For me, the best way is to spend about 2 hours in the library every school day. This help me make sure I got everything done. Even when I didn't have much to do, I use the time to get ahead so nothing builds up too much. If I'm in the library I get my work done quicker so that equals more time I can spend working and having fun. It also keeps me from having to do as much work on the weekends so that I get a break.

First of all you have to learn to sacrifice. You may have to say no to a night out w/ the friends. Just remember that your doing this to better yourself. Sounds likes you might need a schedule as well. As far as work goes, mabey you could get a student loan to help out. Try nextstudent.com. Just stick in there and know that its worth it in the long run.

You should have seen/witnessed it before.. Before.. we had to study and those who did not get the grades were nicely kicked out of the University/college...... Today.. it is different. The college/university will do everything it can to KEEP you there to keep putting in money and as far as flunking you out.. they will not do it as they did in the past.. so college life today is MUCH MUCH MUCH less hectic in comparison with the past.. Also. one does not learn anything either

Well I've been doing this for the last 3 years....and I have 2 more to go...It's pretty hard but you'll get used to it. For me the hardest part is studying for the finals those courses that sum up over 1000 pages.... :(((

It helps to schedule your time - in particular make sure you can attend all classes and attend your work. Then budget time to eat and sleep.
After that, make sure to budget plenty of time to study.
Recreation, socializing and partying have to take lower priority for a while.

The key is to not over extend yourself.
and to schedule time for everything.
The more you schedule your life and actually stick to it the better and easier it becomes.
Schedule everything from shower time to study time to party time and everything in between.
Good luck.
