I mean it's not like we're getting paid for it. Who cares if you're at level 7 or 8? You very well could have gotten there by voting and making dumb responses to questions? Shouldn't the focus be on helping? What are your thoughts?

I tend to ignore the points and give my best answer. If the question is too undecipherable, ignorant or insincere, I may go for the most entertaining response but I really try to deliver a good product. I've even bailed out of questions if I decided my answer wasn't really helping.

Of course, best answers get more points, but they are a matter of opinion, and they don't even have to be right. So, even though I could improve my percentage by going after "sure things", I base my choices on my ability to contribute, not show off.

I figure Level 7ers are like sweepstakes winners. They game the system and have no outside life. I couldn't live like that.

I think it's stupid to answer for the sake of getting points. You see a question you're interested in, and you go to read the answers and there are 25 and 20 of them are the same two word response. It's ridiculous. Only answer if you have a new perspective on the question or knowledge on the subject. The other answer I hate is, "Yep, I agree. :) " Annoying to say the least.

I agree that the focus should be on helping. Like you state, we're not getting paid for it!

My thoughts are this is a good thing to do whenever you're bored or just to pass the time. I think that it is fun. And it also gives me an oppurtunity to share God's Word.

I agree. But sometimes we are all giving the same answers to people and still getting the points.

I personally don't care about gaining points. I like to lend my voice to help people or just have a good laugh.
