I have been asked by a lot of people if I ever want to go to shoot guns at the gun range. I have been asked by various people this that I have met. I think that after firing a gun three times and not winning a cupie doll or something I'd get bored.

Either you like it or you don't.
Why is it any different from not liking some other activity?
Personally, I would encourage to give it a shot(no pun).
Just make sure the people you go with aren't idiots.

My husband and I used to float plastic bleach bottles down the river behind our ranch and shoot them from the bank. I enjoyed it and was a much better shot than he was even tho he had been hunting from the time he was a kid.

Although it is a lot of fun, for some it is more family tradition than a personal hobby, like golf or sailing.

Practice for just in case you ever need it, such as a snake in your back yard or if you ever have to hunt.
