On March 28, 2006, a press release from Fremantle stated that John O'Hurley was named as the show's fifth and last host starting September 11, 2006, and the show was revamped with a new look to celebrate the show's 30th anniversary.
Although built at the same Carpenter Shop at CBS Television City in Hollywood, the new set was built just a few months after the Gameshow Marathon version of the Feud set, which is currently being stored.
Some people say that O'Hurley is suffering the same typecasting that Richard Karn did. Karn was often known as Al Borland, and John O'Hurley may often be known as J. Peterman on the hit series Seinfeld.

*To my knowledge of the show,Richard Karn is still the host of Family Feud. Now that the show is no longer on network television anymore,it is still shown in syndication markets,and most recently on "i"(formerly PAX-TV).
*And the ONLY cast member from Home Improvement that has moved on to bigger and better things. Doing a game show,infomercials,
spokesmen for Sears,and also co-host opposite Bob Vila on This Old House on PBS. Cool,eh?

Richard Karn (Carne?) from Home Improvement was the last host that I can remember before the show was cancelled. Richard is alive and well, just saw him in a new commercial about the importance of recycling.

The host in between Richard Dawson and the Home Improvement committed suicide by hanging himself in his closet. He had a lot of emotional problems and marital problems and he finally ended it all.

I wish I knew. I liked Richard Karn. This John O'Hurley was good on Dancing with the Stars, but he is too stiff for the fued. He is ruining it.

He died... and they got a new one. They should get a new Bob Parker too... i bet you he died like 10 years ago but they have him on strings!
