Why does one have to be`nicer` than the other, ? Both countries mean different things to different people. Comparisons between people of different nations is absurd. There is good and bad, great and small, pretty and ugly. nice and nasty in every nation. Let us appreciate each for its` differences. we love them all.

Both countries are pretty nice. We both have our good and bad points. I love the way Canada smells with the maple trees. I love the gulf coast of the US. I prefer the economy of the US and also the politics and most definitely the tax base of the US is much friendlier. I like the Canadians simplistic approach to education. We both have fierce national pride. So I'm going to give the US the edge only because I'm an American and this is my answer!

I have nothing against the US but Canada is a nicer country, it is cleaner and less populated and Americans always say how Canadians are nicer people. We have beautiful scenery and places like Jasper and Victoria.

I think that Canada is nicer because they apparently can leave the back door open and no-one will go in, but the US does still have nice people. It depends on the area.

Nicer (meaning friendly) Canada because they are all pushovers.

Better country is obviously the US because it has everything... even its own slice of Canada (called Alaska).

Hmmm, good question, I was in Canada over the summer,
near the US-Canadian border, everyone in that area seemed pretty nice, I had heard that the further you go into Canada, the less friendly it can be, especially if you
go to Quebec, where the French have a major attitude, not only towards Americans, but anyone who doesn't speak "their language".

Probably Canada.

I think it depends on your personal beliefs. If you are fiercely independent, you will like U.S. better. The U.S. economy is set up to accomodate that philosophy better, and it comes from our history of rebelling against England. If you are more socially-minded, you will probably like Canada better. Canada didn't reject British rule and rebel like the U.S. did.

I prefer the philosophy of the U.S., as written on the Statue of Liberty. Come here if you want to work and be free!

Define your version of nicer. Most people agree that Canadian Customs/Immigration people are nicer than their USA counterparts
