I always use an object and I use it for any position I apply for - as It's my OBJECTIVE.... i.e.: Objective: to obtain a position as medical assistant in a professional bla bla (I make it 3-4 lines of my resume. (you might even include an area - like Northern suburbs or something)

The Summary is your abilities and a little about your personality: Here you would list your skills - like MS Office Master - Things like "self-starter, goal-oriented, quick to learn new software, technically inclined" - just gives a little blurb on your approach toward work and your general nature.

I hate objectives. I don't recommend that you put one down. I do resumes for my participants and we don't put one down, too much of a hassle. If you want to use this resume at several places, you will have to change it every time. Everyone knows what your objective is, to find gainful employment at the place to which you are applying. :) Good luck!

To work in a field in which I have the opportunity to use my skills and continue to grow.
