I want to supply my ranger with arrows, but don't know which crafting tree to go down.

I would suggest picking another line to go down. Woodworkers do make arrows but arrows are so cheap that I would rather spend a little coin to buy them from vendors rather than make them myself.
Carpenter would be a better way to go. You can make items for your home and to sell. You would also be able to make the repair kits which are very expensive to buy on the market. This would not only save you money but give you a great way to make money.
The items that a woodworker can make aren't in very high demand and would not bring the profits that the items a carpenter can make would bring. Just an alternative suggestion.

you would want to go down woodworker chain, they make arrows, bows, totems, and such.
