Well, if you're into video games there are several classics out there to go as from Final Fantasy, etc. It also depends on your budget as well. Some people may have $20 to spend towards a costume and some may have $200. If you're going for something memorable and for great laughs a friend of mine dressed up as Peter Pan and her boyfriend was tinkerbell. He wore one of her bras and stuffed it with socks as well as had white tights and plenty of glitter. Then again, he's 6'8" and no one doubted his sexuality either. Definitly have to be brave to try that one out.

The last Halloween Party I went to was storybook character themed. Another good character is the Mad Hatter from Alice in Wonderland. It's a great costume and almost anyone could pull it off probably. Best of luck with whatever you decide!

Ichabod Crane was a tall and thin individual.

Ichabod Crane is a fictional character, a schoolmaster featured in Washington Irving's short story "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow".

Ichabod and his rival Brom Bones court Katrina van Tassel. Dismissing the legend of the Headless Horseman, Crane later flees in terror from the Horseman (or perhaps Brom Bones masquerading as the Horseman). Crane is chased over the bridge near the Old Dutch Church of Sleepy Hollow and meets his end soon afterwards.

Ichabod Crane monument, Asbury Methodist Cemetery, Staten Island, New York.The characters from "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" are based on actual early 19th century residents of Tarrytown, New York, and the character of Ichabod Crane was based on a local schoolteacher there. Irving most likely borrowed the name from a real-life Ichabod Crane, a colonel in the US Army during the War of 1812, who is buried in Staten Island, New York.
