I want to pledge AKA but the AKA's at my school aren't that freindly and approachable the Deltas are very sweet and welcoming but I just feel it in my heart that I can't pledge anything else and give all my love to that sorority. I'm cool wit A FEW of the AKA's what should I do? Also when you pledge do they hold it against you if u have a felony or misdameanor??

My advice is to pledge where you feel the happiest/most comfortable. I knew lots of girls who pledged where they thought they should belong instead of going where they really liked the girls and ended up dropping out. Just dont tell them you have a felony or misdemeanor- they dont run background checks (at least where I went to school). Although they did have a GPA requirement. And greek life costs money, at some places lots. I had to pay a chef's salary for 3 years! Make sure you can afford it and its going to be the best decision for you.

I went to a school of 30K+ undergrads. Greek life was a great way to meet people. I chose the house with the girls I had the most in common with and I'm still friends with many- one is a roommate. Good luck!

1 I think they ask on the application wether or not you have a criminal record.

2. If you are going to pledge you do not want everybody to know.

3. If you are going to pledge you need to make sure you are joining an organization that you really want to be a part of. ( Don't do it because somebody is cool or approachable.) Do your research find out if the sorority is actually making a difference in the area that the school is located and do it for the right reasons, not just for the letters or the colors.

Every school has different "reputations" for a sorority. At my school, for example, the AChiOs are known for being the "party" sorority but at other schools I've heard of them being the "preppy" sorority or the "smart" sorority. Unless you have legacy with AKA and that's why you want to pledge them, I would advise you to rush and get to know each sorority's personality before you commit. Being in a sorority means that you will have to spend a lot of time with your sisters, especially at first, and you don't want to be miserable all the time with sisters that you don't like or get along with. Good luck!

Also Known As? ok but then what do I know, I would go Delta. AKA most likely would think a felony or misdameanor is a good thing.

you probably ought to Alpha Kappa Psi is a corporation fraternity. basically subject is what companies colours and letters are you going to placed on? The Aka's are not going to be greater effective than happy in case you attempt to connect a corporation donning yet another companies colours and letters.
