This is a serious question. For the life of me I can't understand why either party, male or female would want to have sex during the pregnancy. Can someone explain this to me?

First off I accidently gave your question a thumbs up and wasn't supposed to! Anyway, what's wrong with having sex while pregnant? There is nothing wrong with it!!!! God didn't create sex just to make babies, why do you think it feels so good?

Because sex isnt just for making babies
Sex is an enjoyable thing and if the couple are in love her being pregnant doesnt faze either of them and its really a time to celebrate
and being pregnant hightens the whole experience and for most woman the only time they really get an orgasim is when there oregnant
Having sex while pregnant wont harm the baby and it makes the soon to be mommy feel good

As a husband who sired 2 boys with my wife, heck yeah, sex during pregnancy is good. She's still a woman and we both still have needs. We may be limited to certain positions during the latter months, but until the water breaks, enjoy it to the end. Also, it's not like she's going to get pregnant again while pregnant.
If it does'nt hurt her, then enjoy. No sense being a prude on this.

during pregnancy the sexual peak of a pregnant woman is at it's highest - way too many hormones in the body- ask any health care professional, and read up on it. and just so u know it's very healthy and not uncommon for a couple to still have sex until up to the last month of pregnancy.

Because sex is fun and a natural thing to do with the person you love pregnant or not. 9 months is a LONGGGGG time to go with no sex. my boyfriend would go nuts! as would i. Being pregnant doesnt just zap the libido out of your body or his! if anything it enhances it and makes the sex better because you have even more of a connection with the pregnancy. woman and men still have needs it shouldnt stop just because your pregnant.

Because men need sex, and because when you're pregnant the sensation is amplified.

men tend to enjoy the ample breasts and new curves of a pregnant body, and every man enjoys sex and a partner who's easily satisfied. Not to mention all the new positions one has to try to make it work.

Women, although a lot lose their sex drive due to hormones, still need that emotional connection and release with their partner.

Pregnant sex is really quite enjoyable.

My husband actually found me the sexiest during my pregnancy. And not to get too personal here, but I was the horniest (for lack of a better word, sorry) I have ever been during my pregnancy. Sex was definitely better for me during that time as well.

For one, sex is a normal human urge and pregnant women and their partners are normal human beings. Pregnancy is a natural state, not a medical condition.

Secondly, for the women anyway, it's hormonal. We all know that our sex drive is affected by our hormones and pregnant women are in a very hormonal state.
