trying to get best out of kx 85 and up brake horse power can u help

Fire it up, take it out and pin it. check plug if whitish in colour its running to lean so move clip down.if dark in colour its running rich so move clip up then try again

single stage reed for max power. The boysen 2 stage is too stiff in my opinion and looses some top end. A modified standard reed block can give more power than the aftermarket ones if you know what your doing, as can port matching cylinder to cases, etc. Check for air box mods to increase air flow. Kawasaki news letters give good race information, get in touch with dealer to find out any mods
It WILL wear out faster if modified so budget for this.
