About a year ago, the IFC channel repeatedly showed this French movie about a couple from Amsterdam who was visiting France to watch the tore de France. On there vacation, the wife got kidnapped at a rest stop, and the remainder of the movie were the years proceeding the kidnapping where scenes flashed back between the kidnapper and the husband of the victim. I don’t want to give away too much of the movie, but there was a repeating theme about being trapped in a golden egg that was floating threw space. Has anyone seen/know what movie im talking about, and if so do you know the name of it?

The movie is called "Spoorloos" (in english, "The Vanishing") It was made in 1988 after a novel called "The Golden Egg"
They made in again in 1993 as an American movie called "The Vanishing." It starred Keiffer Sutherland and Sandra Bullock.
