Hey
It does depend on what type of job you applying for and what position and yr age. One look you can never go wrong with that always worked for me was the simplest. The first time I did this look I gt the job straight off and the second time was for the job I have now which I was chosen over ten people for. They were two totally different jobs.
Wear smart black or very dark grey trousers, they can be trendy but dont have any showing brand names or rips/strange finishes on them.
Wear a smart white cross over top and a simple necklace if you want. If you applying fr a clothes shop u can make this a bit trendy if not then a plain chain will do.
OR
Wear a white shirt with upturned sleeves and a black sleevless vest over the top over that.
Wear black shoes, not too high and ones that might make a noise when you walk, most imployers dont like the clickety noise they make! Pumps or flats are good.
To break up the black and grey wear a bright coloured bag/ earrings but dont go over the top with this either.
DONT wear too much jewellry! Theres also no point of having a nice outfit if yr hair doesnt look good.
If its long and needs a snip but you havent gt time to cut it, wear it in a ponytail and a few slides, or a bun, especially if you applying for a cafe or restaurant job. Or straighten it and let it hang loose, but dont play with it when you being interviewed.
Wearing a watch is fine, shows you gt good time management, but dont wear more than one bracelet on the other hand!
Make sure yr resume/cv is in good condition, put it in a file with any certificates and achievements also displayed. When you go for the interview dont stuff it in a bag hold yr smart black file with all yr details in yr hand.
Make sure you have brushed yr teeth! Wear deodarant/perfume but dont wear anything too powerful, employers usually dont care what perfume you wearing just that you smell clean. Snip yr nails (theres not need for a manicure) dont bite them while yr in the waiting room or in the interview!
Sit with yr hands crossed in yr lap and dont fiddle with things such as hair, ears etc.
You could wear a smart jacket (doesnt have to be a suit jacket) in a dark colour and take it off just as you go in for the interview.
Some good ideas:

http://order.next.co.uk/page.asp?b=G96&p=4&o=1 the checked sleeveless tank/vest
Anyway Ihope this helps. Let me know if you need anymore help and if you get the job!

you usually can't go wrong with a black or navy suit with a nice colourful blouse underneath (not white). A chain or simple necklace but nothing ornate. Stud earrings and a watch, no bracelets. Put your hair in a simple chic style (think air hostesses) and put on some make up but do not overdo it. Same for perfume - something light and floral not heady. Shoes should not be sexy but not clumpy either. Plain pumps or t-bars should do it. flesh coloured tights if you are wearing shoes. A trench coat or long winter coat looks good over a suit if it is cold (avoid "street" coats such as denim or leather). Make sure you know where you are going before you set off to avoid arriving sweaty. Pack some tissues and powder in your briefcase / bag. Remember to carry spare copies of your CV and talk to everyone (including the receptionist). if you're offered a drink ask for water as your throat will get dry. Bring a notebook and write down questions you want to ask (not about pay or holidays). DO NOT SAY "oh I think you've covered everything" when they ask you if you have any questions because everyone asks that. Good luck!!!!

Honestly you should dress professional no matter what the interview is for; it always looks good to dress professional and show that you care. You probably already figured that though. The more important thing to remember is to do a good job on presenting yourself. Make sure you show up at least a couple minutes early, bring 2 resumes, of course dress professionally, and do some research on the company before you show up to the interview...that really impressed my company! Most companies have a website now-a-days so go on there and look at there history and some of the things they talk about on there. I would also give myself a pre-interview tonight on paper. Ask yourself these questions (because I'm sure they will).

Why are you interested in this job?
Why should we hire you?
Name a situation when you had to figure out a way to overcome something.

Maybe you could ask them: Why are you looking to hire me?

Last but not least, make sure you make eye contact (not too much) and give a firm handshake. You've got nothing to lose so be confident! Good Luck!

Nothing too loud or low-cut, no short skirts or anything tight. Sensible yet fashionable shoes, stiletto heels and open toed shoes are a no-no. A nice skirt or pant suit with an appropriate blouse (if you do decide on a skirt, wear hosiery...bare legs are unprofessional) . Keep accessories to a minimum and make certain that your fingernails are clean and well kept looking, no chipped polish and shorter nails always look more professional. Good Luck!

Depends on the Position you're applying for I am a manager in a Sales Office allot of people work here we have Sales, Customer Service, RVs, Vp's , Branch Manager, Receptionist, etc.

We all usually dress casual but nice not to dressy or dramatic either :

Try some nice black dressy pants, with some black boots the high-heels preferable and a nice white collar dressy shirt or perhaps a nice white or beige turtle-neck sweater you know the nice pretty simple ones that really looks nice and decent look have your hair nice and straight or something not so dramatic decent and clean very importantly show your great personality and what you are capable of bringing into there company that others can't most importantly smile and leave all your nervousy out the door kidding just relax and be yourself and you will do GREAT!!!

Don't over do it on your Perfume what if the person interviewing you is allergic to perfume or just can't stand your perfume she wouldn't want to have you around him/her that often I am telling you from experience I am a Manager I always interview people, go light on your make-up no one wants a clown in there office, just be yourself and you will be fine!!! Your nail polish does not have anything to do with your interview try wearing nice simple jewelry don't exaturate. BEST OF LUCK!!!

Wish you the BEST of LUCK!!!!

Wear a great smile as you approach the interviewer/s put your hand out and give a firm handshake.
A number of years ago I was interviewing(with two others) for a receptionist. A young woman came in, make up and dress code very gothic!!! She was dressed all in black with heavy black eye and lip make up. She came towards us with the most wonderfiul smile which made us want to have a good interview. She interviewed well and got the job.

Masculine Tailoring is very big this season, so go for that. Try some high waisted boyfriend trousers with a crisp white shirt. Then go for a bright cropped jacket or maybe a cape, or it could look quite boring and plain. Keep it classic and clean cut. Good luck!! Try the website below for more inspiration.

You never get a second chance to make a 1st impression.

Style your hair so that it stays neat
Not too much makeup or strong smelling perfume
Good deodorant
Comfortable skirt and blouse or trousers
Clean shiny shoes, make sure they fit correctly
Spare stockings
When you meet somebody for the first time give a good firm handshake, not like a wet lettuce.
Smile and above all be confident
Good luck

A jacket, 2 or 3 inch heels and only a very small amount of jewelry. If wearing a skirt always take a spare pair of tights - mine got laddered on the underground. Check the weather for the area (see link) and take an umbrella if needed.

And when you've sorted that, check the poll on my 360 too please, I have the same problem.

Depends on what type of job you are interviewing for. But I would wear something conservative. Like a pair of slacks and a long sleeve blouse with close toed shoes. Dont wear too much make up and wear your hair up not down. Make sure you have good breath and clean hands.Make good eye contact and try not to laugh too much. But smile when the time is right. Firm handshake and always end with thanks for your time.
