im just wondering what are your thoughts on all these damn propositions (85, 86, and all the rest...). im still fairly new to this voting thing and im just wondering what all this mess is about or how to hear both sides of the issues more clearly than some dumb *** commercial cuz at this point, im ready to vote no on everything.

Pretty much the more ads you see for or against a proposition, the more you should consider voting the other way!

Most of the propositions seem to be pretty decent this go around, and will piss a lot of people off if passed (which is always good). The ones that you need to be careful about supporting are the ones that float bonds to spend on some issue for the next 50 years. This strips the ability to decide how best to spend tax dollars in california and led to our current fiscal crises, because 80% of the money is already committed thru bonds!

I know there was an election a few years ago where ALL the bonds passed. Like 10 billion dollars worth. All of them by their own right were very reasonable, but doing them ALL was insane! There needs to be some decision going on between whether you support A or B, but not BOTH A & B.
