They look old because they're so skinny. When your that skinny, your face looks all fleshy. If they gained a little weight, their face would fill out a bit more and they'd look more healthy.

I never noticed that but make up will make you look older sometimes

Make up, other factors. They were in a car crash reciantly, so that could be why too.
