I believe stress is a bit like pain, relative and subjective to the person who believes they are feeling it. There are time when I consider my life to be stressful, I'm a nurse who is owed £2000 by her employer, I'm paid less than a newly qualified colleague despite having specialist qualification and experience, my department is full of bitching and squabbling, the management are leaving, I struggle to pay my bills every month and I have debts. Sometimes the job I do is physically, mentally and emotionally exhausting. However the things I see at work puts this into perspective and I realise things could be so much worse, at the end of the day I have a fabulous husband, a happy and healthy family and wonderful friends. Despite knowing this there are days I could cry or pull my hair out or both.

Try teaching. There is nothing more stressful when one isn't getting support from the administration or parents and the kids don't want to be there, but are there because of the law saying they have to be there until they are 16. You can't yell at or touch the children in any way. You can't say anything that isn't politically correct. Your pay is half what other "professionals" get paid and your health care insurance keeps rising in cost or gets cut when you need it the most. You have to keep taking worthless classes on how to keep practicing secular humanist socialism in the classroom while the ACLU keeps suing to make the U.S.A. Jesus Christ-less. Stress????

I feel the I have a very stressful life. I don`t want to go into all that makes it that way because the thing I hate the most is pity. Let`s just say the children and I have learned to cope.

Not really - I think I can manage stress reasonably well.
I have a stressful job but know that there are many other things to enjoy in life....stressed people often want to be stressed and allow it to happen by not getting their priorities right.

ok here goes.....i look after my dad. he has advanced alzheimers. my mum died nearly 2 years ago and stirred up a load of trouble for me before she went. i have 2 brothers and 2 sisters and they don`t help me at all. wen my dad eventually goes i`ll be homeless. i`m heavily in debt. all my best friends live a minimum of 90 miles away. my dog has an enlarged heart and also had a mini stroke 6 weeks ago in which i nearly had to have him put to sleep. the only good thing thats happened is my dog made a full recovery from his stroke. is that stressfull enough? by the way all of wot i just typed out is absolutely true and i hope no one has to ever go through wot i`m going through

While I realize that there are others with much more stress in their lives than I have, I find it stressful caring for aging parents.
