your mucous plug has nothing to do with it really. i lost my mucous plug 2 weeks and 4 days before i gave birth. call your ob and tell him/her what happened and they will probably want to do another exam. you should be going to the doc every week now and they may want to see you right away or they may feel they don't need to and tell you to wait until you have your next appointment. good luck and hope this helped....holly

Hon, you will know when you lose it. I thought I lost mine the morning I went into labour, saw a bit of blood tinged mucous..or so i thought. Went to hospital, just really early labour.. i knew when it was my mucous plug. Very big and thick. I lost it after a nurse gave me an extremely rough internal. OWWIE!

You may have had a small bit of mucous come out. This may be a sign of labour, but u may not have your baby for a while yet. Don't go swimming or having a bath just to be sure. You wouldn't want any infection in there and around your baby. Your best bet is to call your doctor/OB.

Good luck with this! how exciting! :)
Hope I have helped!

When I lost my mucous plug I was 36 weeks pregnant and yes it is yellowish and sometimes brown with blood. It can be a little at a time or a lot at once. Sometimes it comes out little by little. Losing your plug is just a sign that your body is preparing itself for child birth. You should call your OB and find out what he wants you to do. I delivered my son 2 weeks after my plug had fallen. Good luck to you!

Probably.

But it's no big deal. It doesn't mean anything. I never noticed losing my mucous plug with either kid. My mom lost hers with me right before she went into labor. My friend Kirsten lost hers three weeks ago, and she's still waiting for that baby. My friend Cari lost hers a week and a half before her second child was born.

My point is that, from your description, it probably WAS your mucous plug, but don't go flying off the handle just yet. You could have a few weeks' wait still in front of you.

Losing your mucus plug signifies that your frame is getting all set to enter exertions, it would be each time now. a million finger tip dilated signifies that you're probably a million centimeter dilated. You have to be at 10 centimeters dilated to push the little one out. So you misplaced your mucus plug and you're approximately a million centimeter dilated. You are almost having the little one! Congratulations and well success!

you are getting very close to delivery. it is very possible that you did lose your mucus plug. it could be that it will fall out in pieces and you will notice more as the day goes on. with my last child i lost the mucus plug 3 days before i had her. everyone is different though, you may want to call your ob and mention this.

It's possible that it was your plug. Not to discourage you but your mucous plug is able to reproduce itself. It also doesn't always mean labor is coming on. I lost mine 3 weeks before I had my youngest.

You didn't elaborate : so maybe, if you can't feel any labor pains or your water did not break yet by now, maybe you should see an ob-gynecologist. You might have a yeast infection. It's better to be safe than sorry.

Call your doctor, it may have been a mucus plug, your water may have broken, and you are slow leaking, just have yourself checked to be sure.
