A well-placed slap in the face.
Actually, nowadays it is drawn by intelligent and stimulating conversation. Therein lies my lack of attention, most of the time

Call me by my name or my nickname. If I didn't respond ('cause I didn't hear them), the person usu. tap me on the shoulder. But once, my friend yelled my name out really loud 'cause she was on the other side of the street (it was a crowded one, too). There was also this guy, when I walked pass him, he was like, "Ooh....my baby." I turned my head immediately and gave him one of those 'what the f**k?' look.
