My main theme discusses dysfunctional families, but I need 3 more to tie in with the main theme. I was thinking possibly escaping reality, deception, controlling parents, any more out there?

What about the depiction of the women? Williams manages to create these women who are neither strong or even independent. It seems like they have to win people over with their vulnerability or deceit. As a woman, that has always irked me.
