have her get checked by her doctor to make sure she isnt having any thyroid or any other problems.

but look for Nioxin hair products... they are for fine, thinning hair, and they make a version for chemically treated hair and non chemically treated hair. it actually gets rid of the hormone that causes fallout in the root and scalp. its amazing. you have to use the Cleanser, Scalp Therapy conditioner and the treatments consistently to get results. i worked in a salon and i saw clients who had substantial regrowth and saved their hair.
they also have daily vitamins that work really well ( i have used all their products, even though my hair isnt thinning.. i wash my face with the shampoo), but get her to eat lots f dark leafy greens, fish, vitamin b6, healthy proteins, omega, etc...

Many drugs make peoples hair fall out. Little alterations in hormone stages and combos of drugs could make it difficult to pinpoint. Thyroid, middle and distinctive forms hormone and steriods can all purpose this. (those are simply those I realize approximately). Even distinctive diets...mainly ones that notably prohibit one meals institution or quantities can purpose this. So, even supposing she hasn't had any alterations in her drugs within the final yr, if her our bodies chemical substances have transformed on their possess this symptom can arise. If it's some thing that's relatively bothering her, you must ask her physician which drugs (or combo of drugs) are absolutely to purpose this and notice if there are any exchange meds she might use that can decrease the results. Either approach, a physician must be obvious. Anytime a symptom alterations wildly, she must be obvious. Congratulations for your loved ones for being so healthful. I realize a few humans who could no longer say "she is simplest seventy one"! Good good fortune, I realize it is a difficult factor to manage.

it is regrettable, but your mother is elderly, and some elderly women lose their hair. Your mother has had thinning hair for years, and this is the end result. It could be nutritional, or due to medications or hair treatments (too much coloring or perming) in any case, your mother has alopecia and needs to see a doctor to see if any cause for the hair loss can be found.

check with doctor - make sure it is not a side effect from medication she may be taking...if that isnt it - try to be supportive,(which it sounds like you are - cudo's to you for that), your mother should not be too selfconsience about her hair - guys loose it alot earlier, if all else fails - get her a wig - they are alot nicer and more disceet than they used to be...good luck
