I came across a site like that once a long time ago and I can't remember what it was. There was also a site where you could choose which attributes you want in a book in a scale, and it comes up with a list of books tailored exactly to what you are looking for. (Example, if you wanted a sad book that was inspirational but didn't have a lot of violence, you would choose those three on a scale). It was a really great site, so if anyone knows what it is I'd appreciate a link! Thanks!

Try signing in at Baen's Books. You can go to the chat room, The Bar, or just check out old and new authors. Another thing the authors themselves sometimes visit both the chat room and the Bar, so some of them may know what you are looking for as a site to inspire you. You can also download or read free ebooks on this site. Have fun.

Try LibraryThing. It's a community of readers, so not only do you get books recommended based on what you have read, but from other people who have read that book and can recommend something similar. It's tagged, like Flickr or del.i.cious, so you can spend hours searching through tags like "made me cry" or "teen fiction" -- or even weirder ones! There is a page for each book called "Other LT USers recommend" based on how many other people have your book, and the other books in their libraries.

Amazon.com. They'll even go so far as to show you what other people bought after they purchased the same book you did. I found it all rather disturbing that they were using this information in this way, but I suppose it could serve a better purpose as well.
