this word definition is a preventative noun, that is to keep sanity when looking for a word that rhymes with orange, and is seldom used by press agents and their kind. It is a person, place, or thing that in simple use means color orange, and not the fruit such as Captain Marvel's tights and not whats packed in the school lunch box, which may be clorange also.

CLORANGE (verb): To ask an unnecessary question at the conclusion of a (typically long-winded) joke or story, thereby unintentionally betraying a lack of interest or comprehension in its recounting, e.g. 'and then what happened?' or 'OK, and then?'

A clorange does not preclude a SNORFLE (noun) a laugh inserted at a wholly inappropriate moment in the recounting.

Dismissing the joke or story with 'yeah, whatever', is not, however, true cloranging.

Example of usage:

'The Chairman was too drunk to notice my muffled snorfle, but I cloranged his golfing story by asking why the caddie had three arms. I'm looking for a new job.'
