Our daughter had these jabs yesterday, she suffers from asthma and so it was recommended by our GP. She is not feeling too well today and we wondered if anyone else had seen their child exhibit any side effects after the same jab. Doesn't appear serious at this stage and we will take to the doctor tomorrow if situation does not improve.

I had a flu jab two years ago as I have asthma, the only side effects I got was a little struggle raising my left arm to signal the bus I was catching and then feeling kind of "heavy" for the rest of the day.

Apart from that was ok.

I've had the flu jab for about 7 years and never had a problem. I believe you can have mild, cold like symptoms but thats all. When in doubt with a child always go back to the doctor.

A flu jab will in most cases bring on some symptoms of flu. It's the body regulating itself to the drug. It may last a day or two but unless she becomes extremely unwell (ie Calpol doesn't help) do nothing as she should perk up in a day or so. If you are worried, call the doctor but I'm sure it's not a problem.
