yes you can port your number form carrier to carrier it's a FCC law now.

I am not sure about Verizon. Some companies do let you keep your number. Check with Verizon to be sure.

I don't think it matters unless they would think it is better if you have a new one. I think they will let you kepp the same one no matter what as long as the other service knows your switching so they don't use your number for another person

most networls allow you to keep your existing number and if they dont then dont go with them because soo many people already have your current number, why wouldnt they change it for you. but i changed to verizon and they allowed me to keep my number!
