Is a person's life set in a certian path or is it just a bunch of random choices?

I mean it' s like that saying "Everyuthing happens for a reason".Does anyone out there think that we have any real control over our lives or is there a higher power controlling things?

Back to your question, this supposed 'higher power' is making a complete mess up really isn't it?
Yes I do understand that it is not for us to question the ways of he Almighty!!! Etc etc and forever etc!!!
It doesn't appear that you are on a preaching mission here so I wont preach in return, hows that for a deal?
Instead I will give you my humble opinion:
Nothing is pre destined! As a fellow human (unless your English)?? you have ample opportunity to decide your own 'fate'
and control your own life its all down to you !
Not much point in going through life thinking you could be killed by a passing bus tomorrow or "every thing happens for a reason" Every thing does happen for a reason, some one has clubbed you over the head with a hammer, the reason is whoever it was doesn't like you, or is just a nutter, probably a religious nutter!! Nothing supernatural about that is there?
Make up your own mind how you want to use your short life, do not go through life thinking there is a God up there looking out for you !! There isnt!! And if there was hes not doing a very good job is he??
Mind you it would be easier to just lie in bed all day and say "What will be will be"!!

I have dreams that I see in reality. This is not random. Since an early age I have been having vivid dreams in which sometime later in my life I see the same things I saw in my dreams. Usually within a year or two. These moments of de'ja'vu are places and events I have never seen before. one place I dreamed of hadn't even been built when the dream occured. This happens often. Sometimes I think that when I stop dreaming that my life will end soon.

Whatever I am experiencing, I would conclude that I/God have/has chosen a path/life's play to follow or live out.

We are too unique to be intelligent life that develop from apes. We are only in control of our lives if we know well when we are in control and when we are not. When we are not in control we can turn those things to the greater power who in turn will make things happen for a reason.

I do believe that random actions are all around us and chaos is a part of our everyday lives. How we choose to cope with these actions is the control that we have.

Is there a higher power that controls our lives? Hmm. I don't think so. I think we always have the freedom and power of choice. I do believe in God and that our lives have meaning. I just never bought into the "we have no control" theory. To me, too often that way of thinking leads to not taking responsiblity for your own actions. It's too easy to blame God for your misfortunes or praise him for your great luck or do thoughtless actions in his name. He gave us a brain and the capacity to overcome adversity and to know in our hearts right from wrong. These gifts are enough for us to plot a course that is rewarding and helps us grow as individuals.
