So, who believes Bush now?

From his constant mantra of "stay the course" now, Bush states with a straight face that he has never been "stay the course".

WTF?

How can anyone ever believe this person, ever? BTW, this is a question about Bush, NOT liberals or clinton, I know they lied too, but nowhere on the order of magnitude of Bush. He lies far more often and with far worse consquences.

So come on you GOP supporters, How can you defend this one?

Watch this vid, I am not opposed to changing course, in fact I am totally in favour of changing course, but this is NOT what the question is about, Bush clearly says "We've NEVER been stay the course, George"

That is Clearly a blatant lie!

Now come on GOP supporters, please try to do better

Bush armed and trained the insurgents our military is fighting right now in Iraq. Bush is now admitting to a Civil War for a new cover-up at the tune of 500 billion American tax payers dollars. The Iraqis aren't forgiving and forgetting their 650,000 dead Iraqis. The right has no leg to stand on, Bush failed!!!!

Let's see if I've got this straight: You're upset because, in the year 2006, a politician dares to lie to your face about something so consequential as "staying the course"?

All I can offer is "Welcome to the real world, Binky!"

"He lies far more often [than Clinton]..."?

Doubtful - Clinton was notorious for lying to the Democratic leadership and they were totally frustrated with the bum. He'd meet them in the White House for an hours-long meeting, they'd agree on a course of action, and by the time they were back at the House and Senate their senior staffers were telling them that the White House had announced the opposite of what they'd agreed to just minutes before! This happened time and time again throughout Clinton's tenure as president.

Bush lies, Clinton is a congenital liar - there IS a material difference, I can assure you!

Yes we should pull out and run. That way the terrorist can say they have beaten the great American war machine. Their recruiting would go up 1000%. They would have a place to set up lots of training camps and would be able to launch attacks on the U.S. with in 9 mo. to a year. They are not very good at fighting soldiers but as we all seen on 911, they are good at killing civilians. They could be killing Americans by the 1000s. We can fight them in the streets of America. Let’s bring the killing home. Population control is possible, just vote for the democrats!

So it was the media that said stay the course. It's surprising to me they(GW, Cheney, Rumsfield, etc, etc) if they thought it wasn't clear or was out of context, they had the power and opportunity to clarify. Good grief. Everyone has their opinions but, please tell the truth. I don't have a big problem with changing your mind even, but tell the truth and tell us why.

This isn't a blatant lie. You crack me up. It's about strategy. His strategy has always been "stay until we win" (stay the course). It still is. The media manipulated that statement to mean that he would not change tactics (stay the course), which he has always said was completely up to the commanders in the field. This is the stupidest straw I've seen grasped in a long time,

I guess Bush is like our Blair. They tell us what we need to know on a ned to know basis and their answers would be that we didn't need to know. Follow that? A lot of needs and a lot of knows but I guess you needed to know.
