Because he is a hypocrite that would have gone up to a rookie WR who would have dropped that same pass and ripped him a new one.
That play was the emotional game changer because if he would have caught that pass, he would have gotten an extra 5-10 yards minimum and the Cowboys would have been in better FG position or scored a TD. After that drop, the Giants marched down the field and scored a TD of their own as they started off with great field position. That play alone gave the momentum directly to NYG and the game was basically over.
BTW, T.O. has 6 drops on the season. Is he trying to get traded to the Lions?

If TO makes a mistake, then it is all fun and games....anything to shift the blame away from him.
If someone else makes a mistake like that, then TO will be all over them like white on rice.
TO is a headcase. That is the long and short of it. He thinks he is a play maker, but all he is in reality is a publicity whore.

he was tryin to hide his anger thats what i think everybody know that t.o. is a perfectionist so when things don't go the way they should he gets angry but rather then argue all the time especially when he knows it's his fault he'll look as if he's laughing either that or he was embarrassed by that

TO thinks the football world cannot survive without him and his attitude so he thinks he can pull anything off! But my guess as to why he was smiling was because he knew he messed up on the play for the Cowboys and he wanted fans to know that he would make it right...as if that would happen?! But seriously...TO tried to play that one off as if it was a joke so the fans would not get mad at him!

I am pretty sure he was laughing at himself kind of using it as a crutch for his embarrasment as most people do. he catches that pass 999 out of 1000 times
