I'm Italian and I think you (american) don't know and don't understand the True Italy only watching american TV (or News on general news televisions ) !!!
Italy is very different from as is represented to you !!!

How true and America is very different than what you see on TV. I think that the Italians have so much to be proud of You are the cradle of culture with all the art that came from the Renaissance You have the finest old school artists and who can disregard the true Renaissance man DaVinci.

I've been to Italy several times. I've seen aspects that are very different than TV; but some are very close to accurate.
It's a beautiful place, and I enjoy learning more about it.
But everyone, everywhere, should realize that nothing is exactly like TV; not even the US.
