Have you read Great Expectations? That's a good Dickens novel. But to give you a different author, try Louisa May Alcott's "Little Women". Or for something newer try the Harry Potter series. Or go for a big dive and read J.R.R.Tolkein. Start with "The Hobbit", then move through "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy.
That should get you started. Have fun!

Well, ROBISON CRUESOE is a great book, by Daniel Defoe, and it's from the same time period as Mark Twain. Also, you could read books by H.G. Wells, he's from the same time period.
