I notice there's a lot of thumbs down voting for no good reason at first I thought I was the sole target of a hater because no matter what my answer was I got a few thumbs down sometimes, but I now notice it's just a hater on the loose. Is this going to affect our points here on yahoo answers or is it no big deal?

No, it won't affect your points in any negative way. I think though that you get credit for up to 50 thumbs up, not sure how that works. There are (there is ?) an abundance of haters everywhere, the ratio here is just indictative of the world at large. Ignore them.

Chances are the thumb down providers did not understand what you typed so they left a message
to that effect. Don't worry about it and just
enjoy this site. Let the thumb downers live their

It is no big deal. Some people vote because they will receive 1 point for each vote that they cast. You are right though..there are a lot of haters and people give you insulting answers. If you want to insult someone dont bother to answer the question. Some folks are just unhappy!!

Yea I realize that but I don't think it will affect your points....a lot of times I think people they put thumbs down all because they are having a bad day, just haters, or they are jealous all because they post a good questions before anyone else....

There are some haters on here.To me it is not a big deal if somebody gives me a thumbs down.I don't think you lose points.I just think of it as **** them if they don't like my question.I just said I Love You and somebody gave me a thumbs down,so I thought **** that person.I just don't pay attention to any of them.

Yes I do. Thumbs down won't hurt your points count. If you just ignore them, they'll go away to bother someone else.
