Being a good and concientious citizen - of the planet Earth, that is. My loyalties don't stop at the city limits, the county line, or the state line. Why should patriotism stop at a national boundary either? Is it going to take an "Independance Day" style attack from outer space to make us realize that we are ALL just ONE people?

To show support for my country and respect for our soldiers! To lay down my life if needed! To be a good citizen and uphold the law. To help my neighbor when they are in need. All these things( and more ) are ways to show patriotism! I'm proud of my country!

i think of the technical definition is in simple terms loyalty to a minimum of one's u . s .. notwithstanding, i think of that patriotism is unwarranted while the government of 1's u . s . behaves in a dishonest or immoral way. a number of the individuals in Hitler's Germany might have seen themselves patriots for following his lead. With that pronounced, i do no longer think of patriotism is mostly a sturdy element. in actuality, it generally isn't by way of fact it does no longer evaluate what's sturdy for all of humanity in simple terms what's sturdy for a particular u . s .. Too in lots of circumstances, patriotism encourages blind loyalty, even while that loyalty isn't deserved.
