It was probably 10+ years ago (?) Somewhat of a sci-fi futuristic type. A community of people whom the "government" had them on pills so there were no feelings. Some rebelled and were considered "outcasts" and fugitives? Sound familiar to anyone? Thanks for your help.

Two sites you can check and they should both be good for what you are looking for at this time and place: Go to Baen's Books and sign in on that site and go to either the chat room or the Bar and ask your questions there, the authors visit both sites regularly. Also, you might want to post your question on the Library of Congress' website at: loc.gov. If it was written somewhere they will know what the name of the book is and who the author is too. They are the largest library in the world and their database is fantastically huge. Good Luck and have fun researching!

I'm thinking Brave New World. I had to read that in High School. It was made into a movie, too.

In Brave New World they took Soma to calm themselves and there were outcasts who were the uneducated... primitive people. Is that is?
