I have no idea. rock... well rock rocks this universe. rock and all having to do with rock is awesome.

If I had to choose I would choose Hip Hop. ALthough I am very picky now days when it comes to hip hop because lately a lot of crappy artists have come out.
I do like some rock. Not heavy metal though.

it's personal taste. If everyone in the world liked the same thing we'd all be clones meaning theoretically we could all end up being rolf harris do u want that???? I don't that is y someone can prefer hip hop to rock

maybe becoz hip hop has better beats and u can grind and dance to hip hop. rock is just sumthing you move your head to or go wild jumpin around like a maniac... an the obvious thing is they are completely diffrent types of music liked by different kinds of people with different opinions on music and tunes

because rock music is winy and depressing
hip hop may degrade women sometimes and have stupid lyrics, but the beat is uplifting and fun to dance to!
You can't dance to rock. Rock is out, hip hop is in...accept this and move on with the times!

to each his own.i like all kinds of music hip hop and hard rock are among them I'd bet you'd be surprised to see how many metal bands listen to hip hop and visa verse. it seems awful closed minded to only listen to one kind of music. i mean damn you can only listen to master of puppets for so long.by the way new metallica sucks ***

For the same reasons some people prefer jazz to classical music, or prefer Chinese food to BBQ. People have different tastes.
