Its been 12 weeks as of Friday and still no menstrual cycle. Baby was born through c-section, and I breastfed for 6 weeks. Its now been 6 weeks since breast feeding and still not even a sign of a menstrual cycle. Is this normal?? Should I be concerned?

I know that anything that happens to your body during and after pregnancy is a concern, when I had my first menstrual cycle, i panicked because I thought it was a side effect from delivery, not thinking that it would be my cycle come back! But it is definately okey fro you to just call your doctors office to ask them if this is okey, you pay them to be there to answer your concerns! but it could also be that your body has not gotten back to prepregnancy stages yet. Whereas you were regular before, you mightonly get it 3 times a year now tha tyou have had your child. Thats what happened to me, before baby, i was on schedule evvery month, could set my calendar around it because it was so regular, but once I had my daughter, I have since in the past 8 months only had my cycle twice. Dont be concerned too much! But if so give your doctor or clinic a call an dthey will check it out for you even just to put you at ease about it ! Hope that helps?!

Everyone is diffrent mine came like clock work each time 5 weeks after having the baby I had my period. Now you breastfeed so that will delay it for quite sometime anywhere from 3-6 months, So yes you are normal if you cont to breast feed you won't get it for a while..

Your Dr should have told you that nursing your baby will prolong your cycle meaning it wont come as soon as most women get theirs. Its usually 4 to 6 weeks after birth but the nursing will stop it for a bit longer.

I don't think you should be concerned unless you have had sex without using some kind of protection you could be pregnant. If that is not a possibility it is probably due to the breast feeding if you do not start soon you should see your OB

I think maybe you should go see your doctor. I got mine about 4 or 5 weeks after delivering my daughter.
