Doctors prescribe anti-depressants for premature ejaculation. PE has been linked to having a low serotonin level and the medication helps raise that level. The one bad thing with medications is that they do have side effects. You can also take a herbal supplement that produces the same effects without the side effects. 5-HTP is all natural, start with 100mg and work your way up to 200 mg in two weeks and it will help.

You must check out Jack Grave's "Ejaculation Guru" tutorial on how to stop premature ejaculation, check out his video here: http://www.ejaculationguru.link

It explains how to end premature ejaculation for good. It’s basically a blueprint on how to develop natural control over your ejaculation. It actually reprograms your ejaculatory reflex so that you last longer without even trying.

It involves a combination of techniques, learning knowledge, and following a specific approach that attacks premature ejaculation from all three angles; the physical, mental, and hormonal. I was able to cure my premature ejaculation problem in only 2 weeks and I never had a problem again.

Premature ejaculation is not some gene you're born with, the result of your penis size or a part of your personality that you can never change.

Local anesthetic will probably prevent you getting an erection in the first place. I'm not sure about systemic pain medication, but certain anti-depressants such as prozac produce delayed ejeculation in about 50% of cases. In extreme cases it might be worth a try, although there are usually ways around the problem that don't involve taking drugs!
