Its a bit apple pie and motherhood isn't it. I mean, who is supporting an unsafe environment?

Perhaps you have to supply more of a context. Are they talking about a working environment? It would therefore be a health and safety at work issue. Perhaps they mean a sustainable economic environment for their business activities?

As it stands it is suitably vague to mean whatever nice thing you want it to be, thereby rendering it effectively meaningless.
