It's a Gateway and works extremely well otherwise. I'm very happy with the speed and performance of this computer (had a Dell previous to this, and will never go back!). I have cleaned out and protected against spyware, I don't have any virusus, there are no "hidden" programs running...etc. Yet still, at least once a day the whole thing will freeze up, and the only thing I can do is shut it down manually. This sometimes causes me to lose things I'm working on. There is no pornography on my computer either. Anyone have any idea as to what could be wrong? This has been going on for a while and is becoming frustrating. Thanks in advance for your help.

Another thing to remember is not to have any magnets or things like a wireless device or cordless phone on or right next to it.

If not that, then it could be a specific program you are running that is causing this, if so, you may need to uninstall and re-install.
