Its very normal to spot during the first trimester. If your blood is bright red and accompanied by severe cramping, then odds are that you are miscarrying. Brownish red blood usually means that your body is getting rid of anything left over from previous periods. I'm sure you are fine. If you want to chat with other expecting moms, PregnancyWeekly.com is an awesome website to check out. The forums are sooo supportive. I highly recommend it. There is alot of advice for first time moms on that site. Good luck!

If there is any cramping or pain with the bleeding then I would go t th doctor or ER immediately. It is hard to say if it is the first stages of miscarriage because some women have spotting during the first few months of their pregnancy. I never had any bleeding or spotting so I can't relate to that but I had a friend that did. I would call your doctor and get seen just to make sure everything is ok.

So long as the spotting is brownish, you have nothing to worry about. It's perfectly normal. Some women have spotting their entire pregnancies. If the bleeding is bright red, excessive, and you pass clots, it is a miscarriage. If it is the beginning of a miscarriage, there's nothing a doctor can do to stop it. It just has to run its course.

Light bleeding is normal in the beginning. If you are not having any cramping I wouldn't worry. But if you are, you need to go to the Dr. Medicaid usually pays Dr. bills from the day you apply, so let the receptionist know you are in the middle of applying. Some times they even pay for Dr. bills for the past month. Even if they don't, it's not worth loosing your baby! You can pay as little as $5 a month until it's paid off.

I have had two kids and never that early did I start bleeding at all. What I would do is go to the hospital and just have then take a look. Bleeding is never a good sign. If you don't want to get check by a doctor at the hospital call you ob doctor and see what they say. I would get on the phone asap.

I experienced that when I was pregnant 4 years ago. Baby came out fine, but that was only because I went to the doctor to be sure. As an good and responsible mom to be, you definitely need to go to the doctor. If you don't have insurance or something of that nature, go to Planned Parenthood/ free clinic to be on the safe side. Good luck to you and be encouraged....

sweetie, you need to go to the Dr. ASAP!! it isn't NOT normal to spot when you are pregnant EVER!! but some women do.. and the Dr. would be able to tell you why are doing it. It is usually cause by the uterus stretching... but it could be Early signs of something starting to happen. So I truly suggest that you get into see a Dr. as soon as you can. If it will be a couple of days I suggest that you keep your feet propped up, and don't over do it.
hope everything goes well... good luck!!!

I've had that too, I'm now 9 weeks but the baby looks fine as of right now. Good luck to you, I'm scared and worried too, but my ultrasound today showed a healthy baby that now has arms and legs and I saw him/her move for the first time, so I'm keeping the faith.

**I just saw your post about not having insurance, you can go to the doctor and get examined. All you have to do is explain to them that you've applied for Medicaid and you're waiting for your card, they have a number they can call to verify your status and they won't bill you directly for anything, then once you get Medicaid it should backdate to the first month of your pregnancy and cover your whole thing. YOU CAN SEE A DOCTOR and you should for yourself and for your baby.**

As much as you don't want to hear it, you need to seek medical attention. Do some research and find a place that will take you (a clinic, maybe).

Yes, it is possible to have light spotting; however you don't want to mess around with something potentially serious.

If I were you I would pose a different question to find a center near you that will take you without insurance. Most insurance companies consider pregnancy a "pre-existing" condition and will not cover you.

Best of luck!
