In an effort to live up to the media hype that the Democrats are going to sweep the elections, they have trotted out some of the best victims Hollywood has to offer. Michael J. Fox (Alex P. Keaton he is not) is now doing commercials in House districts where the once triumphant Democrats were pounding their evil Republican opponents (e.g. Missouri, Illinois). He stops his meds before filming to get the best effects and then he blames the evil Republicans for blocking a cure for his debilitating disease. I was wondering when the full victim card was going to be played in this election season. Desperate indeed!

For all you libs that need the "facts" straight, let's try this one more time. President Bush did NOT ban research on stem cells of any kind, type or source. He barred the use of FEDERAL funds for research on embryonic stem cells. Everyone know the evil pharmaceutical companies don't need any more money from the federal government for this type of research. They are charging granny 20x the cost for her heart medication to pay for the research on stem cells. You libs always want your cake and eat it too.

And I certainly didn't say Fox is "faking" his illness. Can't you read - I said he stops taking his medication before filming. He admits this himself. He has said "it is important for people to see the true effects of this debilitating illness for themselves. The only way to show that is to temporarily stop taking my medication," (paraphrasing).

Again, you libs really need to learn how to read. I also find it interesting that you libs need to vilify me as a mother. Grow up! Pointing out the way in which a person (yes even a person with a horrible, debilitating disease) plays politics with his or her own condition is not attacking that person. It's an indisputable fact that Fox stops his meds (the ones he takes to treat his symptoms - duh) before he films his political commercials.

Actually, isn't Mr. Fox a Canadian? Perhaps the vaunted Canadian Healthcare System can help him out.

Oh, yeah, I forgot. The waiting list is 14 years long and counting........

And by the way "fairly smart" you have proven more than once today that you are neither Fair, nor Smart.

There is no ban, just no check book.

I know celebrities don't seem to allowed to have an opinion. I think it's a fear that they might actually influence some one. In other words, they disagree with you and that's just not allowed.. It hasn't been considered right to disagree with the government, oh, for quite some time now. You either fall in step or you fall victim to any number of labels. I don't sense any desperation. I think you've fallen victim to Karl Rove syndrome. It doesn't matter what the actual truth is if you phrase it the "right" way. George Bush hasn't had what you would call, a stellar presidency and once again, it's time to convince the public that it's someone else's fault. Never admit blame, never back down and portrait yourself as steadfast and strong instead out of touch and perhaps a wee bit dishonest. We'll see what happens at election time. Maybe you're right and the Republican Party will retain control of the House and Senate. I believe that confidence in the Republican Party to effectively guide the country is eroding rather badly.

I think the democrats should have been a little more desperate in the last election maybe the county wouldnt be in the horrible mess it is today. You say desperate but yet you are running down a crippled person with a debilitating disease. I think you have it wrong the republicans are the ones looking desperate. Look at the republican running in cal. tad gwuin or however you spell his damn name sends out letters to everybody registered dem. and hispanic telling them they are going to jail, that is pretty desperate.
What about the scramble with the republicans over foley wanting to screw little boys where were there values you talk values. I bet you set on the front pew at church so everyone can see you, then blow your old man on the way home while you talk about how pure you are. You are just like most republicans i have ever met in my 36 years, you think you are the smartest SOB on the planet and everybody that doesnt agree with you is and idiot. Just keep thinking it while your no longer in power
America stand up and take this country back.

Both sides are desperate and will always be desperate. You have a bunch of crooks and retards in Washington trying to make sure the most people with their beliefs are up there as well, then you have idiot citizens that think one side is more moral than the other or that one side is better. The truth of the matter is that both sides suck, letting the other side's opinion or popular demographic opinion force their opinion on everything. The Republicans are smarter, they pick a side based on good intentions but don't realize the reason that no one else had a plan for this great outcome was because there is no plan to force it. Democrats just pick the other side on everything and hope to pick up minority votes. They also do a better job of seeing the world for what the world is not what they want it to be. This Democrats/Republicans are great and the other party sucks is so lame and stupid. They are almost all horrible people that we are stupid enough to keep electing. Geez. It's like picking your poison.

Yes going of his meds show the true devastating effects of Parkinson's disease.
How would you like it if you had a terrible disease like that and there was a chance for a cure and it was shot to Hell? Do you really realize the effects of this disease? Eventually he will not be able to move At all, and will require total care for years. I'm a nurse and have seen all to often the effect of this and other devastating diseases. That wreaks the body and keeps the mind intact or does both.

What he says is completely true, they are blocking a cure for his disease. even President Reagan's family have came out in support of stem cell research after they saw the devastating effects of Alzheimer's disease.

Your the one that should be ashamed

Oh you idiot. Micheal J. Fox doesn't have those muscles effects because of the disease. The only treatments for his disease available cause them. That is how we know you are wrong about him stopping his meds. The only time he can act normal is when he stops the medicines keeping him from getting worse.

For once, stop attacking people in worse condition than yourself.

Your children must be very proud. What's on the agenda for tomorrow, going down to the Braille Institute and moving the furniture for a few giggles?

The people are fed up with the failures of the neo-cons and their constant assault on American values and traditions. It's just too bad they have no choice other than to vote for the farm team.

YAWWWWWWWN!!!

Of course you are the only brilliant person on the planet who concocted that scenario and just must point out your THEORY as TRUTH. Like all reps, you think because you put it out there and no one slaps you down or hands the public positive proof that you lied, your lies are gospel.

You reps are sooooooo boring! Same old sad song, divert attention when you're in trouble, revert to the wrongdoings of past dems, and never ever focus on the point at hand.

It has been my experience that people accuse others of those things which they themselves would do in the same situation so you are truly a manipulative woman, true to your party.

What? Because he doesn't want to be on meds for the rest of his unnaturally shortened life because of the disease?

He's not faking it. That is his condition. Just like a Republican. Cannot deal with reality. "I like it better when he is in hiding."
