Just curious. Had an ultrasound for abdominal pain this morning. The nurse asked "do you have any children?" during the proceedure. Is this a normal question that is usually asked, or do you think it's her reaction to me actually being pregnant? (3 blood tests, over the last 2 months, have all come back neg) Wondering... I wont know the results until I see my fam. Dr.

I would say that this is a routine question. It could've also just been the nurse using small talk to put you at ease. Doctors have a legal and ethical obligation to disclose all information to the patient. I would recomend that you simply ask. Call the Dr.s office and explain that you have a question concerning your recent examination. Then just ask if the ultrasound showed any evidence of a recent pregnancy. Good luck.

I have had numerous ultrasounds for stomach issues, have never had a baby or been pregnant, and none of them have EVER asked me that.

They usually ask that if your pregnant.. When I went in for my first baby they asked me that to see if I had any experience or if I had any problems..

There's a possibility that she noticed your uterus a little swollen and since they have to check to see why she wanted to rule out that you've had kids or not.
