Man, Sixth Sense rocked! It's made by M. Night Shyamalan- just about all his movies are super scary and suspensful. Here's some more of his that I loved:
Signs
The Village
Unbreakable
Lady in the Water

Also check out Alfred Hitchcock movies, or Wait Until Dark.

Exorcist is always freaky, if you want blood and gore I'd for the Original Dawn of the Dead (78) and Fulci's Zombie is very gory and the goriest being Peter Jackson's Dead Alive....These are gore films at their best...Gore like seeing people's intestines being slowly pulled from stomachs and faces being peeled off by pulling the upper lip

Nightmare On Elm St series
Friday the 13th series
The Blob
Halloween
Killer Clowns From Outer Space
Hellraiser

They all creep me out but great movies to watch at anytime. When I was younger, those movies freaked me out. Hope that helped.

Hostel- It's too close to being real life stuff that might happen. There's no monsters, No unrealistic plot. Just good ole killing.
Enjoy
