I have dry eyes too and here are some tips.

Wear your glasses a few hours everyday to give your eyes some oxygen...it will make a difference

I put in Systane drops before I go to bed everynight and it makes a HUGE difference. You can use the drops w/contacts in as well. This was recommended by my eye doctor and can be purchased at any drug store like Walgreens, CVS, etc.

Yes you can. Contact Lense Eydrops are used to hydrate your eyes when their dry from them being something in there. Even if your not wearing contact lenses in your eyes, the drops are perfectly fine. I use the drops to rinse out my eye when theres something in them or just when their dry. Works great. =)

I had that problem too, and my optometrist just switched me to a different brand of lens that retains moisture better. It's called Bausch & Lomb PureVision, and so far they have worked really well for me!
